Introduction

Born in 1959, Brigitte Di Scala did not choose to become a painter.

The first motivation of the artist is undoubtedly not to let what she finds beautiful remain in her, in the fragility of the memory. What she creates in her painting is not only what enters her eyes, it is she herself who appears to us.

For painting is emotion, and the reason for painting is the need to materialize emotion in a work of art. The freedom which is that of the mind’s expansion, there is no spirituality without freedom! Then, the creation becomes an ecstasy.

She paints without becoming weary, the countryside, the meadows, the wild flowers, her childhood memories.

Her landscapes express the joy of living, the abundance, the triumph of life. So much so that her style is close to impressionism.

She exhibits her paintings by participating in various art markets, salons and contemporary art fairs.
